We are pleased to announce that Eric Simpson has joined West Pines United F.C. in the capacity of Director of the younger ages Future Stars Academy Program.

Eric graduated from the FIFA endorsed Escuela Nacional de Directores Tecnicos (The National School of Technical Directors) in 1999 in Mexico City, and is a regular attendee at the World Congress of Physical Trainers , and the International Course for Professional Reserve Teams. Eric is completing his studies to become a Sports Psychologist, and at present has clients in Professional Soccer, MMA, and The National Hockey League.

After stints in a successful coaching career at the Mexican Soccer Federation Center of Development, and in the Fuerzas Basicas (reserve system) of the Atlante Futbol Club, Eric returned to the USA and has worked at several Clubs and High Schools in California, and here in Florida with great results. In addition to his coaching duties in Mexico, Eric was also a Scout for several of the professional clubs there, scouring the streets of indigenous areas in Mexico for undiscovered talent.

As the Director of our future players, Eric will be responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum of the basic skills necessary to enjoy our great game through a safe and fun learning environment. Eric began coaching at 14 years old, as was required by his Youth Club Team, to work with younger kids, and learn about patience, discipline, and compassion for those that may have been less talented or new to the sport. We look forward to the endless possibilities of tournaments and friendly matches with the Professional Reserve Teams against our closest neighbors in Mexico through Eric’s contacts.
